Because Kenedy ISD's property values have increased significantly, the District has now become subject to the provisions of Chapter 41 of the Texas Education Code (TEC).  Once a school district reaches a level of property wealth relative to student numbers to be considered property-rich, it must determine the method of sharing its wealth with other school districts.  These provisions are sometimes referred to as the "share the wealth" or "Robin Hood" plan.  Some of the methods a district selects for sharing the funds must be approved by the voters.

Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted each weekday at the Kenedy Independent School District Board Room, 401 Hwy. 719, Kenedy, TX 78119 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. beginning on April 28, 2014 and ending on May 6, 2014.
Voting on May 10, 2014 will be held at the Ruhmann C. Franklin Municipal Building, 303 West Main Street, Kenedy, TX  78119 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
